We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Technical Salesperson to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the construction and surface preparation industry, can engage directly with clients at a technical level, and is confident in identifying and solving product or equipment challenges.
You will be responsible for sales growth, client relationship management, and product development, working closely with company directors to ensure we remain leaders in the industry.
· Manage and grow key customer accounts across South Africa and neighboring regions.
· Provide technical support and on-site troubleshooting for clients.
· Identify opportunities for new product development and improvement in collaboration with the directors and workshop team.
· Demonstrate, promote, and train clients on the correct use of machinery and consumables.
· Prepare and present sales proposals and performance reports.
· Support the promotion of in-house machinery servicing and maintenance programs.
· Maintain accurate sales forecasts and communication with management.
· Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the construction or industrial flooring industry.
· Proven record of technical sales and key account management.
· Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
· Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
· Willing to travel (locally and occasionally internationally).
· Prepared to work weekends or after-hours when required.
· Valid driver’s license and passport.
· No criminal record.
· Professional integrity and honesty.
· Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
· Strong planning and prioritization abilities.
· Capable of working directly with senior management.
· Comfortable engaging both technically and commercially with clients.
